Swing Analyzer is made by one person, Tristan Heilman. This page says what the Mac and iPhone apps and this website send anywhere, and what happens to it.

Your swings stay on your devices

Video, swings, measurements and annotations are stored on your Mac and your iPhone. Syncing between them happens directly over your local network, encrypted, and never through a server. There are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking.

Coaching

When you tap Ask on a swing, the app sends that swing's key frames and the measurements it has made to Anthropic's API, using the API key you entered. The video itself is never sent. Nothing is sent until you tap Ask, and nothing is sent if you have not entered a key. Because the request is made with your own key, what Anthropic does with it is governed by your agreement with Anthropic.

Sessions sent from a beta build

If you test a beta build of the iPhone app, you can send a session back from its summary screen. Before anything is packed, the screen shows what will be sent:

Nothing else is included: no location, no other sessions, no contacts. You send it yourself, through the share sheet, to beta@tristanheilman.com. Only the developer sees it, and it is used for one thing: checking and improving the app's measurements.

A sent session is deleted within 12 months of being received. To have it deleted sooner, or to withdraw your consent, email privacy@tristanheilman.com and it will be deleted.

Updates

The Mac app checks this website for updates. The check requests the update feed, and the request carries the app's name and version; it sends nothing about you or your Mac.

This website

The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles each request to deliver the page. The only figures read from that are totals: how many times the download and the update feed were fetched, and how often the beta and feedback links were followed. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you across other sites.
